Welcome to The Access Pond!

The purpose of this accessibility blog is to provide a place to discuss accessibility issues and solutions. If you are dealing with Section 508, Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 1.0 or WCAG 2.0), need or simply want to make your website and software accessible to all, then you’ve found the right place.

There are many accessibility blogs out there.  Our primary focus is on the developer, the software tester or Software Quality Assurance (SQA) person, and the general user.

These professionals are often tasked with creating and testing accessible websites and software or general documents, spreadsheets, flyers, newsletters, etc. From our experience they receive little to no training on how to accomplish this. Proverbially tossed into the water and left to sink or swim.

Instead of fishing in an ocean of resources for the right answers, we offer a pond stocked with the information you need. If you don’t find it here, please ask! We are continuously researching and gathering feedback from you to make this site the go-to resource for those tasked with making accessibility a reality.

Come on in…the water is great!
